About Me

My name is Jessica and I own Meadow Creek Market. My roots of this little shop have come from my Mom, Grandma, and so many crafty people who I have loved. I remember my mom standing over a pan, taking handfuls of dough and expertly shaping it into little balls to become my favorite holiday food - dinner rolls. She taught me how to crochet and encouraged me to make my very first afghan after so many misshapen squares for practice. One day my dad took that afghan to try and sell in a small store front he managed. I'll never forget my unbelief that someone else loved it enough to buy it. I grew up watching my Grandma hunched over in the yard, persistently weeding and planting beautiful things. She got me hooked on the taste of sourdough and opened my eyes to what is really healthy. All of this has become part of me. There's something nostalgic from the loaves of bread I make, the yarn pooled up in a corner, ready to become something new, and the endless possibilities of a backyard garden. None of it was made or grown by the very best equipment. My mom's kitchen wasn't fancy, my Grandma's garden wasn't perfect, sometimes crochet projects were tossed aside in frustration. Some of the most beautiful things come from simplicity and persistence, and that's what we all should strive for; making something to be proud of from what we have right now. There is always blessing in the now if we choose to see it.

You can pick up your order on the day you selected at check out. Everything is made fresh daily just for you, so please order at least one day in advance to guarantee you get it in time! I have a cute table set out front that is clearly marked and set aside just for your order. Find your name, grab your order, and head out! Simple as that!
